The gently trickle of water over rock adds an extra dimension to a garden, providing the tranquility essential for us to relax and unwind. Formed over millions of years these features are natural rock & stone making each one unique. Unlike man-made features these seem to have a timeless quality which you will cherish for many years
More natural features are being added all the time so if you don't see anything you like today make sure call back again soon or give us a ring to find out if we have anything not yet added to our catalogue
Setting up your natural stone water feature
To power a 1m high monolith rock you need a pump with an output of at least 1600 litre per hour up to about 2300 litres per hour, depending on how big a flow you like, smaller features will be fine with a smaller pump such as a 900 litre per hour pump. Faster flowing features splash more so you need a bigger catchment area otherwise your water feature will be drying out all the time
To catch the water use a sump such as a plastic tub, good examples are the Victoria ponds we sell which come in a range of sizes and shapes. These can be fitted with a metal grid to stand the feature on, the water runs through the grid and back into the sump for recycling. If you want a fast flowing feature use a piece of flexible pond liner to increase the catchment area and funnel it back into the sump for recycling.
A piece of pond hose takes the water from the pump to the near the top of the feature, if the hole drilled through the monolith is more than a millimetre wider than the hose you may need to fill a gap with clear silicone (available at most hardware and DIY stores) to stop water leaking back down through the middle of the monolith instead of flowing over the outside of the rock. Most pumps come with a 10 metre cable fitted and it should be plugged in indoors such as a garage or shed, alternatively have an outdoor, weatherproof socket fitted in the garden. We recommend using an RCD device on all pond/water feature pumps to protect from shocks should a fault occur
DELIVERY (UK Mainland only)
Most of these items are delivered on a pallet by a specialist pallet delivery service and your premises must be accessible to their delivery vehicle. They will contact you prior to delivery to arrange a suitable day, they may be able to indicate whether it will be a morning or afternoon but can't offer a specific time. Someone needs to be present to sign for the goods and assist the driver as he will need to know where he can leave the pallet. The driver will use a pallet truck to deliver the pallet only as far as your drive or front path, should it be wide enough (please inform us if this will not be possible). Once the pallet is on your property you will have to arrange to unload the pallet yourself, unfortunately the delivery driver is not allowed to assist. For heavy items please get help to unload the pallet
