Lingon or Cowberry is a small evergreen shrub producing tart edible berries, popular in Scandinavian countries for making pies, compotes, jams and soft drinks. Ht 10 to 30cm, likes some shade and moist acid soils. Lingonberry tolerates poor soils but not alkaline soils so grow in pots of ericaceous compost if your soil is pH 7 or higher
