Trachycarpus wagnerianus 'Dwarf Fan Palm'

Starting at: £14.99

Trachycarpus wagnerianus is a hardy palm with a single trunk. It is stiffer, more compact and wind tolerant than the more common T.fortunei. Trachycarpus wagnerianus looks good in a pot but use John Innes #3 compost. Ht 2.5m. Best in full sun, keep moist except in winter, use palm food spring/summer. Min -10C. If not in a sheltered spot we still advise wrapping the leaves in fleece in winter to protect them from being wind damaged. Alternatively, if they are in a pot, bring them into an unheated greenhouse in winter. Grows as a single trunk which will make 1.5m in fiftenn years given good growing conditions. Trachycarpus fortunei likes sun, shelter & well drained soil best.

Supplied in 1.5 litre pot - good stocky plants with at least 5 or 6 large leaves which span approx. 10cm. The overall height is approx. 25 - 30 cm including pot, with a small trunk formed of approx. 6-8 cm. Actual plants shown below. Shipped within 3 days
