A sturdy dog kennel complete with an attached run in front of the kennel, making this a long unit rather than a side by side arrangement seen in the Airedale Kennel. Both the kennel and the run have a standard apex roof, eaves height 160cm (5'5"), ridge height 210cm (7'). Includes a door into the kennel, a door into the run and a sliding bob hole which the dog can use while the main door is secured. Both doors are fitted with pad bolts. Each kennel is supplied with a run which is the same width as the kennel but is available in variable lengths from 150cm (5') up to 240cm (8'). The total price is obtained by adding the price of the kennel to the price of the run. Select the run length by clicking on one of the sizes below, by default the 150cm run is selected but you can deselect this and click on a larger size. The timber originates from well managed, sustainable forests and is pre-treated with a factory applied preservative base coat. The kennel will need a suitable base - see note on Base Preparation below. Optional Extras
The price includes Vat, delivery within Yorkshire or Lancashire (unfortunately this item is not available outside these areas) and the erection of the building by experienced fitters at no extra cost. The customer needs to prepare a firm, level base before the fitters arrive (please carefully read the notes below on 'Base Preparation' and 'Aftercare' before placing an order). Delivery times vary from 2 - 4 weeks depending on the time of year and whether the item is available from stock, or has to be built to your specification (We can give you a more precise lead time if you contact us prior to ordering). The fitters will contact you approximately one week before delivery with a specific date.
Base Preparation
A flat, level base must be prepared before delivery. The best option is to have a concrete base, or to flag the area with paving slabs. If this is not possible the building can be sited on firm, level sand, soil, grass or gravel with the addition of a set of tanalised bearers (these are strong timbers spaced at intervals under the building). Some customers may choose to have bearers even on a concrete or flagged base to raise the building by a few inches giving improved airflow. Bearers are available as an optional extra and can be brought by the fitters when they come to erect the building. In very exceptional cases Should the fitters consider a base to be unsuitable it will be necessary to levy a surcharge of £50, payable prior to any return visit
Aftercare
All buildings are treated with a factory base coat but a further coat of good quality water repellant preservative is required immediately after erection (this service can be provided as an optional extra for £39, colours available are red cedar, teak or dark oak). Although these garden buildings are constructed with quality timber, as a natural product it is subject to climatic changes which can cause warping and splitting in extremes of temperature. This is a natural process and beyond our control and therefore is not covered by any guarantee. Similarly the roofing felt, although specifically designed for use on garden buildings, can occasionally ripple due to temperature changes, this is not due to a fault in the product and will not impede it's effectiveness
