Natural sphagnum moss from a sustainable UK source. A traditional lining for hanging baskets, also valuable for the holly wreaths, and the culture of orchids and insectivorous plants. The moss will stay in good condition in the bag for months, and it will green up within a few days if spread out on a water holding tray with 1cm depth of water.
Small bag (pictured) weighs approx 1.5 kg and is enough sphagnum moss to line one or two 12" wire hanging basket. The bigger sizes may be supplied in clear unprinted polythene bags as they are not intended for retail sale. Large bag weighs approx. 8kg and will line 5 to 6 hanging baskets. Extra large bag weighs approx. 13.4kg will line approx. 12 hanging baskets. Please note this is a very rough guide as the moss is hydrated, not dry, and it is entirely subjective as to how thick the basket lining should be
