Rhubarb Forcers are the traditional method of producing the sweetest and most tender sticks of rhubarb. Just place over the rhubarb plant in early spring and within a few weeks the young sticks are ready to cut. Young plants should only have a few sticks removed in the first two years, you can take up to half the forced sticks from mature plants, leave the rest to develop normally without a forcer. Failure to observe this can seriously weaken the plant
