Evening Primrose or Oenothera missouriensis is another cottage garden favourite, low growing with huge golden yellow flowers. Each flower is short lived but they are produced for many weeks through the summer. Grows to approx. 15cm, spread 50cm. Oenothera missouriensis is fully hardy and prefers a sunny site and well drained soil. Cut back after flowering, a second crop of flowers often appears in late summer
