Musella lasiocarpa The Chinese Yellow Banana is a slow growing, fairly hardy banana with the characteristic swollen stem near the base. Musella lasiocarpa is great for exotic gardens & will grow well in a large pot. The flower is stunning, like a big yellow globe artichoke which lasts for months, unfortunately the fruit produced is not edible. OK in a sunny shelterd spot. Protect it's trunk with straw or fleece in winter, new foliage appears in spring.
Supplied in a 4 litre pot, ht approx. 40cm including pot, good thick trunk near the base, 2 or 3 large leaves unless the plant is dormant in winter. Shipped in 2 - 4 days
