Small tree slowly growing to 4m (13ft) in 10 yrs. Sun or part shade, any well drained soil. Bronzy red leaves and large, slightly scented red flowers followed by large purple red crab apples which are edible. Good autumn colours. Fully hardy and wind resistant.
