A collection of six named varieties, specially selected to flower in summer and autumn. A mix of green & gold tipped foliage and flower colour ranging from white through pink to red (unless a different mix is requested). Heathers flower for a very long time and are excellent groundcover plants, reducing weed growth considerably. They also associate well with conifers. Perfectly frost hardy, they will grow in sun or part shade
Summer and Autumn Flowering Heathers generally prefer acid soils, alternatively grow them in pots of ericaceous compost, keep them moist with rainwater and feed occasionally with ericaceous feed. Planting them in ericaceous compost mixed with soil will keep them happy for a year or two. All heathers should be cut back hard after flowering to keep them bushy. Give them a feed at the same time
