Festuca Elijah Blue is one of the best blue grasses with evergreen foliage that forms dense tufts. Looks superb in winter pots as a foil to colourful flowers or berries. Festuca Elijah Blue can also be used mixed with other grasses or perennials. The photo shows how well they work with large leaved plants such as heucheras. Trim off old foliage in spring. Ht to 30 cm (1ft). Sun or part shade, any soil except waterlogged. Divide Festuca Elijah Blue every 3 years to maintain it's vigour (just lift in spring, cut like a cake into sections and plant each part at least 45cm apart)
