The False Castor Oil Plant has leaves similar in shape to the Castor Oil plant which gives it it's common name. Fatsia japonica has lush green foliage and is one of the most versatile of plants as it is suitable for the house, conservatory, patio or planting out in the garden. Indoors Fatsia will be evergreen, outdoors it will keep it's leaves in mild winters but lose them when really cold. Fully hardy, re-grows new leaves each spring. Happy in sun or shade, will grow where many other plants find it too shady.
