Ensete ventricosum Maurellii is perhaps the most spectacular banana because of it's huge red leaves which arch from a thick base. This red banana never fails to impress. Best grown in a pot because it is not too hardy & needs some winter protection. Provided it's kept dry it will be fine even if temperature drops close to 0C. OK for patio in the summer only. Ensete Maurellii is easy to control, if it gets too big hack it back at the base & off it goes again
Supplied in 3 litre pot, height will vary according to time of year, if ordered in the summer they will be approx. 90 cm, with a spread of 30 to 60cm.
