Dionaea muscipula 'Venus Fly Trap' + Free Delivery

Starting at: £9.50

The Venus Fly Trap is the most popular of all the carnivorous plant species, described by Charles Darwin as one of the most wonderful plants in the World! It's has gaping traps which shut in a slit second when any unfortunate insect triggers the hairs lining the trap

Venus Fly Traps do well on a sunny windowsill or frostfree greenhouse. Stand the plant in a large saucer of rainwater from March to Sept always watering from the saucer with rainwater, pinch out any flower buds before they form as these can weaken the plants. To make sure your plant thrives never make the traps shut artificially or force feed the plant. During the winter months keep the plants cool as they will go into dormancy, if growing indoors move the plants to a much cooler position at this time, keep the compost just damp rather than wet and remove any dead foliage. Venus Fly Traps can be repotted in our standard compost (available as an optional extra during Feb-March, when they will come back into full growth

These are mature plants sent out potted, pretty much filling the 9cm pot, with lots of good size traps.  Shipped by Next Day Courier within 14 days, although most orders are sent within 3 days, during show times there may be a slight delay
