The Pineapple Broom, Cytisus battanderi, is a beautiful shrub or small tree which is rarely offered. Silky grey-green foliage and golden yellow, pea like flowers which smell strongly of pineapple. Pineapple Broom looks it's best against a wall, especially red brick. Ht to 2m in 10 years but can be pruned to keep smaller.
