Virginia Creepers are a family of self clinging plants with different leaf shapes, most of which turn brilliant colours before leaf fall in autumn. Virginia Creepers can be a very useful climber which will hide unsightly buildings, fences and walls. It can become invasive so keep it well pruned but on the positive side it does not usually damage the mortar between the brick or stone. Once established these plants can cope with full sun or shade and very dry soils
