Climbing PlantsFor speed we tend to use library pictures when adding new plants to our catalogue, but unlike many online plant retailers, we also include a description of the approximate size and spread of the plant you are buying, plus the pot size. However if you would like to see a photo of the actual plants being shipped we can send a photo as an email attachment to your web address. Just let us know via the email link in 'Contact Us' or give us a call Planting & Care Container grown specimens can be planted at any time of year provided the ground is not waterlogged or frozen. Dig a hole twice as wide & twice as deep as the root ball. If the soil is poor mix the extracted soil with equal amounts of compost & a handful of bone meal, which stimulates good root development. Tease out some of the roots from the root ball & place in the hole so that it is planted exactly the same depth as it was in the pot. Backfill the hole with the soil/compost mix & firm in with your heel to leave the plant vertical. Water well after planting. Summer planted specimens will need regular watering to stop them drying out for the first few months.
