Agapanthus africanus is a good architectural plant with a fountain of green leaves from which emerge tall flower stalks up to 1.2m tall carrying huge umbels of rich blue flowers in summer. Agapanthus africanus is very drought tolerant. Grow in a sunny well drained spot & mulch in autumn. Hardy to -5C provided they are kept almost dry through winter.
