Abelia grandiflora Kaleidoscope is a new variety bred from Abelia grandiflora 'Little Richard'. Like it's parent Abelia grandiflora Kaleidoscope has a dense growth habit and retains most of it's folaige in winter. Unlike other Abelias, Kaleidoscope changes colour through the seasons. In spring the leaf has a gold margin, the colours intensify through summer and in autumn there is a riot of orange, red and yellows in the foliage before becoming green through winter. Pale pink flowers in summer. Height in 5 years 60-90cm, spread 120cm. Likes well drained soil & a sheltered spot in sun or part shade
